 The Visionary Behind Carmel Walks

Greetings!

I’m Gael Gallagher, the proud owner and managing director of Carmel Walks since 2012. It’s a privilege to carry forward the legacy of the late Gale Wrausman, who founded Carmel Walks. After her untimely passing, I was personally chosen to continue her vision of providing visitors with an extraordinary introduction to the unique charms of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Every day, I strive to honor her memory by delivering tours that inspire and delight.

For the past 40 years, I’ve been fortunate to call the breathtaking Monterey Peninsula home. One visit from my native Boston was all it took for this magical region to capture my heart. My career as a tour director, naturalist, and historian is the perfect way to share my love for this special place with others. With passion and enthusiasm, I aim to bring Carmel’s beauty, history, and character to life for every guest.

My goal is to awaken your senses, expand your knowledge, and exceed your expectations. I want you to feel like a local by the end of your tour, eager to explore even more of this enchanting village.

I hope to welcome you soon!

Smiles,

Gael Gallagher
